countdown.

-2 days until I get to see my beautiful, wise, fitty (fun/witty)  and older sister Ang.

-6 days until my 10k

-10 days until I get on a plane to fly out to Chilcoot, CA to see best friend Shelia Provoast

-13 days until Shelia Provoast becomes Shelia Hail

-13 days until 5/6 of the 250 girls are back together for Matt and Shee’s wedding! (Shee, Tiz, Debs, Dana and K…miss you DB!)

-5 weeks until I fly out to Denver for Debs wedding

-5 1/2 weeks until I say goodbye to my Kinders and they “graduate” to 1st grade

-6 weeks until I pack up from SA and head back to the great NW.

SO much is happening in this next month!! I can’t believe that I am going to see two of my closest friends marry AMAZING guys, and then have to say goodbye to them as they move with their HUSBANDS!! I also can’t believe that my time in SA is coming to a close and that I am moving back to WA so soon…with no clue of what I’m doing.  I’m praying and hoping every day that the Lord will open a door and give me wisdom as to which direction I need to move.  I am so thankful that I serve a faithful and loving God who knows much more than I do!

I’m also thankful for 90 degree weather…and pools. It’s been a good day. :)

today’s gonna be a good day.

I love saturdays. We kicked off the weekend by watching the new Muppets Movie..Em was less than thrilled, while I thoroughly enjoyed everyminute.  I slept in this morning, went for a 3 mile run with Em, and then made some iced coffee while listening to a sermon online about the post-modern church.

I also ordered some books on Amazon:

-Captivating (Eldredge)

-Mornings with Tozer (Tozer)

-The Next Christians (Lyons)

and now I am getting ready to go out and buy a swimsuit because the neighborhood pool opens up tomorrow!! Just a look into the week’s weather, it is going to be 93, 91, 86, 82, 85, 85.  I’m pretty thrilled at the prospects of this week. And according to my haircast results…it should be an ok day. :)

My thoughts exactly.

I love Saturday Mornings.

Not that I don’t love the rest of the mornings, I do, but the fact that I can sleep in, and plan absolutely nothing for the day, sounds blissful.

I usually am waking up at 5am, working from 6:45-5:45, and then trying to see if I can get to bed by 9pm.  Sometimes I feel like a grandma….a grandma who works 11 hours a day.

Teaching has been going really well as of late.  I feel like I am finally getting into a routine, and can actually breathe.  I am still at the school for such long hours because I am always finding new things to do, and new ways to transform the way I teach; since I didn’t have a summer to prep for this, I am constantly prepping.

I love my Kinders.  They come up with some of the funniest things to say, and are always keeping me on my feet.  I love seeing the little spark of knowledge when they receive a new concept, or are finally able to spell a word correctly.

My Kinders also help me appreciate the weekend. :) So this weekend I am going to

-Finish the final book of the “Hunger Games”

-Go for a Run

-Make dinner (I made gluten-free pizza last night…AMAZING)

-Catch up on AI with Em

-Grade papers (most likely while I’m watching a show)

-Sit out in the beautiful sunshine…with a coffee and my book.

Weekend, here I come.

Today I smiled

-because one of my kids asked me if I had a robot inside of me. (I’m losing my voice)

-when three of my girls started singing “super bass” while working on addition

-when I ate a gluten-free pbj for lunch

-when I asked one of my students to use the word “bud” in a sentence and she responded, “my dad likes to drink his Bud Light.”
